Employee Assistance Network, Inc. is seeking a full-time EAP counselor/consultant for an in-office position with virtual hybrid work options.
This position is based in our Asheville office but may require day travel to other offices in Western North Carolina and to our client organizations as necessary.
This position will provide a range of services including face to face assessment, short term solution focused counseling, case management, crisis counseling, utilization management, training and presentation skills and consultation with managers. The position will consist of 65-75% direct client services 25-35% administrative or miscellaneous work.
Experience in making workplace presentations and in management is preferred but not required.

Minimum requirements are a Master’s degree in a mental health discipline and licensed or having an Associate License in North Carolina as an LCMHC/LCMHCA or LCSW/LCSWA, LMFT/LMFTA.

Counselor, EAP
Provide autonomous and independent direct clinical services, including comprehensive mental health assessment, coaching, short-term counseling, case management, and referral services. This is a Hybrid position. Three days in the office and two remote. Position required to work one (remote) evening per week.
Provide consultations to management regarding occupational mental health and productivity issues in the workplace. Assess and provide customized organizational responses for events that disrupt the emotional stability and functioning of employees or work units.
Provide specialized risk management interventions within the University and Health System. Confer and collaborate with EOHW about Fitness-for-Duty cases. Provide pain management strategies and psychosocial support for clients with a work injury or illness; provide extended assistance for clients recovering from substance abuse; provide consultation and guidance to management addressing suspected impairment, or employee behaviors of concern, including risk of harm to self or others.
Participate as a mental health professional with Duke’s Critical Incident Response Program, incorporating Psychological First Aid and crisis response models.

LifeWorks / Brian S Hissom & Associates, PLLC and Employee Assistance Resources (EAR) are seeking well qualified candidates to provide a variety of mental health services in our offices and in local medical clinics. Successful candidates will provide behavioral health services in an integrated care environment embedded in employer and community based medical clinics and provide traditional out-patient therapy and Employee Assistance services.
Our group provides mental health services in community and employer based medical clinics as well as traditional in-person, Telehealth, and Employee Assistance services in our offices in Morganton and Hickory, NC. This position provides the opportunities for a blended schedule in both medical and traditional out-patient counseling environments, creativity, professional growth, and collaboration in an outcome-driven multidisciplinary treatment team.
